Description
Tierra Hermosa with Jipijapa Coffee
Deep, opulent, and elegant, Tierra Hermosa 72% cocoa chocolate is paired here with speciality coffee from Jipijapa, harvested in Ecuador since 1850. Small batch craft chocolate production enhances the Nacional cacao’s floral, fruity, nutty, and caramel nuances. The cocoa for this bar comes La Providencia Estate, an icon of Ecuador founded in 1891 in Chone, Manabí. This chocolate bar was awarded a bronze medal by the Academy of Chocolate of London in 2020.
Quote from Susana Cárdenas: We believe in heritage. We search for provenance. We connect with our origins. We take historic elements and project them into the future. We make slow chocolate, small and micro-batches from selected cacao trees. We are committed to preserving and protecting the environment. We work directly with local communities of cacao producers, craftsmen, artisans from four regions of Ecuador. Our aim is to show you the beauty of cacao and create the ultimate chocolate experience for chocolate connoisseurs.
“Tierra Hermosa” (Beautiful Land) refers to the cocoa’s origin in Manabí, Ecuador.
It’s Cárdenas’ signature chocolate and in addition to its unique flavour, the chocolate evokes heritage, femininity, delicacy, resilience and provenance.
