“The hard, chattering and jeering call of the Magpie is unmistakeable. His noisy speech contains a few musical notes but we usually associate this pirate with a raucous and barking call that at times sounds obtrusive and mechanical. The Magpie is a resident mischief, often seen in pairs or flocks and with the supposed habit of collecting glittering objects and hiding them.”
