  1. Hi! I received a separate bill from DHL for shipping my order to the US. Is it customary to bill shipping separately? I assumed I paid for it with my order. Can you confirm so I don’t pay shipping twice?
    Thanks so much!

    1. Hi Anna,
      Thanks so much for checking.
I can confirm that you’ve already paid the shipping costs with your order, so you won’t be charged for shipping twice. What DHL may have billed separately are import duties or tariffs, which are sometimes charged on delivery. For the US, these are typically around 10% of the order value, depending on how the shipment is assessed.
If you’re able to send a copy of the DHL bill to tom@chocolatedetective.co.uk, we’d be very happy to take a closer look and investigate further for you.
Thanks again, and please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
      Best wishes,
      Tom
