Description
These Pheasant eggs are newcomers to the Chocolate Detective’s Curated Collection – her very favourite products from a lifetime of tasting chocolate.
Introduced to Britain by the Romans, the hoarse call of the male Pheasant is loud and explosive and is usually followed by emphatic cackling as he takes to the air. Pheasants stay on the ground by day, roosting in trees over night. A handsome fellow, he has a long slender and tapering tail, and is dressed in the palette of autumn colours.
Descriptions and artwork are taken from Madeleine Floyd’s ‘Birdsong’.
