1) Promoter
The promoter is The Chocolate Detective (“Promoter”).
2) Eligibility
This giveaway is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over. Employees of the Promoter (and their immediate families), and anyone professionally connected with this giveaway, are not eligible. Internet access and a valid Instagram account are required.
3) Giveaway Period
The giveaway opens at 12:00 on 12/02/26 and closes at 12:00 on 24/02/26 (all times UK time). Entries submitted after the closing time will not be counted.
4) How to Enter
To enter, participants must, during the Giveaway Period:
- Follow @TheChocolateDetective on Instagram; and
- Like the giveaway post; and
- Comment on the giveaway post in response to the prompt.
5) Bonus Entries (optional)
Participants may gain bonus entries by tagging friends in separate comments on the giveaway post.
- 1 tag = 1 bonus entry
- Maximum of 5 bonus-entry comments per participant
Tagged accounts must be genuine individuals. The Promoter may disqualify entries from fake, bot, giveaway-only accounts, or entries that appear to be spam.
6) No Purchase Necessary
No purchase is necessary to enter. Purchasing does not increase chances of winning.
7) Prize
One (1) winner will receive a Chocolate Detective bundle to the value of £50, which includes:
- a selection of Chocolate Detective chocolate products, and
- a small volume/booklet of poems about chocolate.
If any item is unavailable, the Promoter may substitute it with a similar item of equal or greater value. The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and no cash alternative is available.
8) Winner Selection
The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries using a random selection method. The Promoter may also select up to two (2) reserve winners in case the original winner is ineligible or does not respond.
9) Winner Notification & Claiming the Prize
The winner will be contacted via Instagram Direct Message from @TheChocolateDetective only within 48 hours of the giveaway closing date and may also be announced via Instagram Stories.
The winner must respond within 48 hours of first contact. If the winner does not respond within this time, or is found to be ineligible, the Promoter reserves the right to award the prize to a reserve winner.
10) Delivery (UK only)
The prize will be delivered to a UK address provided by the winner. The winner is responsible for providing accurate delivery details. The Promoter is not responsible for delays outside its reasonable control (e.g., postal delays).
11) Verification
The Promoter may request proof of eligibility (including age and UK residency) and may check that entry requirements have been met (including that the winner is following @TheChocolateDetective at the time of winner selection). If the winner is found to be in breach of these Terms, the Promoter may select a reserve winner.
12) Privacy
The Promoter will use the winner’s details only for administering the giveaway and delivering the prize, in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Details will not be shared with third parties except as necessary for delivery.
13) General
The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or amend the giveaway if necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, or where fraud/abuse is suspected. The Promoter’s decision is final.
