At this time of year many traditional celebrations coalesce. Mother’s Day and Eid both fall on Sunday 30th March followed by Easter three weeks later (April 20th). If you are wondering why the dates for these feasts varies, its because they are set by the lunar calendar, so can vary hugely from year to year.

Lent started last Wednesday, traditionally with 40 days of fasting and that leaves 6 Sundays which are not part of Lenten period: genuine days off, as the Nuns used to tell us. Nowadays many people practice positive actions instead of denying themselves their favourite treats.

Finally this year we are really delighted to be working with Pump St Chocolate to sell their range of Easter Eggs and Chickens. There is a wide choice of single origin Dark and Milk, the listing will appear very soon…
|
Later in the year they will be transforming some of the organic beans from our Grococo Farm in Hermitage, Grenada into bars of chocolate. We are so excited and we will let you know when these land. Once the chocolate arrives we will be making two of our favourite broken barks with sour cherries and ginger.
